NONESCOST Receives 3 CHED Regional Quality Awards
The Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology earned 3 awards at the 2nd Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Quality Awards in celebration of the 3rd National Higher Education Day and CHED’s 29th Founding Anniversary held on May 19, 2023, at the West Visayas State University Cultural Center, Iloilo City. The event recognized the excellent efforts of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in various categories such as instruction, research, and extension services, among others.
The awards merited by NONESCOST include a recognition for being the 6th TOP PERFORMING SCHOOL IN THE APRIL 2023 LICENSURE EXAMINATION FOR MIDWIVES with a rating of 80.56%.
Another award received by NONESCOST is the recognition in Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education MODEL IMPLEMENTER AWARD AY 2022-2023. This award acknowledged the consistent adherence to the requirements and guidelines of RA 10931 otherwise known as the “Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act (UAQTEA)” and for the effective and efficient implementation of its major components.
Finally, NONESCOST was recognized for being the BEST FLEXIBLE LEARNING IMPLEMENTER through its adherence to the requirements of CHED Memorandum Order No.4, Series of 2020 – “Guidelines for the implementation of Flexible Learning” and CMO No.6, Series of 2022 – “Sustaining Flexible Learning in Higher Education: Addendum to CMO No. 4 Series of 2020”; its efforts to implement appropriate teaching and learning approach, retrofit facilities and other teaching and learning resources, and formulate policies, procedures, and guidelines using data-driven and participatory approaches; and its engagement in sharing of resources, consortia, and other noteworthy initiatives.
The awarding proper was led by Raul C. Alvarez, Jr., REE, EdD, CESO III, Director IV, CHED Regional Office VI. Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jocelyn D. Bantigue and Director for Student Affairs Services Dr. Ritchie Balandra together with SAS staff, Easter A. Lucero expressed their gratitude and pride in receiving these awards.||nonescost - pio
